Chi non fa fadiga, non diventa figa

Hi everyone,

I took two weeks off on writing an article about my experiences at the gym with my Italian personal trainer because I was focusing too much on the numbers on the scale and less on the work out.. And every week when it was time to “weigh” in, I was full of mixed emotions..

Well, I simply decided to let it all go. Let everything go and just focus on my workouts and toning my body.

Joining the gym was the best thing that happened to me on this journey of a healthier new me.

I have met a lot of great people along the way and am extremely happy and my self confidence in myself has risen through the roof.

And yes, I am human so there are some days, like today where in which I am having a horrible day for many reasons by the way in which I am in no mood whatsoever to work out that I keep this Venetian phrase and repeat throughout my workout ahaha.

“Che non fa fadiga, non diventa figa”

Which basically means, no pain no gain or if your work out isn’t difficult you won’t become beautiful.

Ahaha I love it! And of course, my lovely trainer Vittorio, told me this inspiring phrase.

If you lack motivation or need something inspiring, go into the bathroom or in front of a mirror and repeat

“Che non fa fadiga, non diventa figa”

In your best Italian accent ever. And I am sure, you too will get the motivation that you need.

So, let me introduce to my  new friends ๐Ÿ™‚

A great group of new friends at the gym!!

So much fun working out with these handsome men in the early mornings.

Feeling myselfโ€ฆ ahaha

And lastly, after three weeks of rigorous workouts, I can finally see results in not only my self esteem but also my body and I feel so gosh darn good.

Feeling myself.. So, I had to buy this little black dress and you know a month ago, I would have never thought about buying let alone wearing something like this.

I have to thank my two best friends Therez and Jessica for keeping me motivated to continue.. I still have a long way to go but its so rewarding and easier to work out knowing all the good I am doing for myself and seeing these results doesn’t hurt either.
